As the QA Lead (Unreal Engine), you will oversee and lead the quality assurance process for our Unreal Engine projects. You'll manage testing strategies, coordinate the QA team, and ensure that all gameplay features, systems, and performance meet our high standards. Your expertise in manual and automated testing, as well as bug tracking and team collaboration, will be essential in delivering a polished and stable product. Responsibilities
- Perform consistent daily observation, research, review, and reporting of QA processes for all current assigned survival game projects.
- Assign tasks within the local QA team and foster a healthy working environment aligned with company values.
- Participate in the performance review process, gather feedback, and share insights with international QA teams.
- Maintain, advance, and promote knowledge in the field of quality assurance for survival games.
- Gather feedback and data to create and facilitate both project postmortems and ongoing improvements.
- Proactively identify potential issues, propose solutions, and set goals for the QA department.
- Oversee, create, maintain, and prioritize Test Plans for multiple, concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA operations in a leadership position.
- Positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Strong understanding of the game production pipeline and tools.
- Good judgment in assessing the significance and impact of bugs.
- Rigorous, methodical, autonomous, and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Expertise in cross-cultural business and remote team leadership.
- Excellent ability to delegate tasks across a team.
- Exceptional critical analysis skills.
- Passion for survival and open-world games.
Nice to haves
- Basic knowledge of Jenkins and Perforce.
- Experience in programming and/or scripting.
- Experience in QA for software and tools.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Google Sheets.
- Deep knowledge of survival games, with extensive experience analyzing and playing them critically.
